    Seattle

Few cities can meld urban life and nature so well like Seattle. Skyscrapers, sprawling tech campuses, and vibrant commercial areas are surrounded by lush trees and crystal blue lakes. Beyond city bounds are dense forests, rolling hills and the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. Blessed with truly awe-inspiring geography and captivating scenery, Seattle inspires creativity and innovation. Some of the most innovative entrepreneurs, artists, and tech industry trailblazers have roots in the city or chose to relocate here — creating endless opportunities for everyone. But make no mistake, Seattleites work hard and play hard. There’s a plethora of things to do in and around the city. Whether you’re seeing a live show at the Paramount Theatre, exploring the network of parks and green spaces, hiking around Mt. Rainier, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee during one of many light drizzles, life is never dull in Emerald City. What you’ll love
      • The coffee culture. Being the birthplace of Starbucks, Seattle takes its cup of joe seriously. If you’re a coffee enthusiast or even a tea aficionado, you’ll feel right at home. Plus, there’s a variety of local coffee shops around the city. Make sure to check out Storyville Coffee Pike Place, Café Hagen, and Zeitgeist Coffee.

      • Green spaces. Although there’s more to explore in the surrounding area, there’s no need to leave Seattle if you want to head outdoors. The Washington Park Arboretum has a wide assortment of flora. The 300-acre Seward Park contains vast forest land where plenty of old growth trees still thrive. Head to Discovery Park, where miles of trails lead you to scenic stretches overlooking Puget Sound.

      • Seattle Art Museum. Since 1933, this iconic museum has delighted and inspired visitors from all over the world with classical works from antiquity and trend-setting pieces from contemporary art.

      • The Space Needle. Built for the Century 21 Exposition in 1962, the Space Needle has since become a prominent fixture in the Seattle cityscape. The futuristic and saucer-shaped top portion has the best 360-degree views in town.

    • Woodinville Wine Country. There’s plenty of destinations around the city that are great for short road trips, but if you had to pick a first option that isn’t too far, you can’t go wrong with Woodinville. Here you’ll find Washington State’s first winery, in addition to about a hundred more local wineries and microbreweries.

    Real estate snapshot

Seattle commands premium pricing when it comes to real estate. Home prices around the city range anywhere from as low as $280,000 to over $29 million. The housing stock is composed of single-family and multi-family homes, condos, and townhomes. The usual styles you’ll find include Mid-century Modern, Victorian and the “Four-Square” or the so-called Seattle Box — which comes in Craftsman, Tuscan, and Mission Revival variations.
