We were thinking about selling, and a friend mentioned Craig's name as an authority for our specific area. I called Craig and he came to see our home. We were impressed with his knowledge, his opinion on what we could do to improve just a bit more if we were going to sell, but we were more impressed at how down to earth he was. Craig was easy to talk to, and we ended up talking for several hours. We ended up deciding not to list at that time, but in January of 2020 we bought a home in Northern Nevada and knew we needed to get ours sold. We hadn't forgotten Craig, and I gave him a call. Surprisingly, he remembered us! He once again came out to see us, and the conversation flowed. As first-time sellers, we needed a lot of handholding. We needed about five or six months to get the house ready to list, and he was there every step of the way. Covid became an issue in March, but that didn't stop us from getting our home ready. Craig's knowledge of the area and the comps led us to list the house at a higher price than we thought we could get, but he was right. We received a full-price offer on Day #3 of the listing, and Craig led us through the final closing and beyond, again never making us feel like we were a bother. Buying and selling a home is a stressful situation in the best of times. During Covid it was even more stressful. Below is more detail that I want to provide because I feel strongly about Craig's abilities and performance.
My wife and I were very fortunate to have met him. When we first moved to the Seattle area we were looking to mostly rent instead of buy. One of the listings available had Craig as the listing agent. Within minutes Craig's intellect, honesty, and deep knowledge became apparent. We were so used to realtors who treated us like one of many clients. Craig was a breath of fresh air who devoted his full attention and focus. We kept Craig's information in case we decided to buy in the future. Never have I wanted to work with a realtor until we met Craig. 1.5 years later and we decided to settle down and look for our first home. We contacted Craig and he made the process very easy. Any house we would tour he could provide in-depth knowledge on all aspects. He clearly wanted a home that's best for us. It was clear he genuinely wanted us to have a home we not only loved but is also a sound financial investment. Not only was Craig able to negotiate the price of the home in a very hot seller’s market, but he was also able to catch issues with the house that the inspector initially missed. Realtors like Craig are incredibly rare, we've met many and dealt with many realtors in the past, and only Craig stood out.

We’ve had the privilege of moving around a few times. We’ve always used referrals from our friends. We followed the recommendation of friends and contacted Craig to move to the Seattle/Bellevue/Sammamish/Issaquah areas. We’re out of state and looking to relocate to Washington. He got to know us (our desires, our hopes and our patterns) … he was patient and knowledgeable about different neighborhoods and considerations. While we did a lot of our investigation online, it didn't paint the whole story. Craig went to our first-choice home at different times of the day and on different days to show us the neighborhood. He recorded multiple paths driving to the home and commented on busy traffic noise or not, from the local grocery store we are likely to frequent, etc. He would explain traffic patterns during and pre-COVID, so we would understand our commute when the world returns to normal. He replied in detail about questions on schools, house inspection questions, and provided direct links for utilities, cleaners, or movers we could use. During shelter in place, we were not allowed to view the home ourselves, so we had to trust Craig's instincts, and put our faith in his expertise. He spoke the truth and told us the good, bad and the ugly when needed. During our negotiations … he was assertive and our advocate. He was instrumental in the strategy and played the bad guy when needed, but he was so skilled in being amiable, he could get the information from the sellers and their agent … which was used to our benefit. Working with the lender, escrow office and title company … he was so incredibly responsive and knew how to drive the process, to unblock when things got slow or stuck. He helped us to receive packages, opened the house to cleaners and repair teams … all ahead of our arrival. He had to manually override the sprinkler system so our grass and plants stayed alive. Here’s where Craig showed his true colors … weeks after the deal already closed … when we got into town, he was there waiting for us to give us a tour of the home. Even weeks after we’ve settled in … he’s calling us, to make sure we’re doing well … that we and our children are thriving. He stands alone and above a sea of other good realtors, by being a thoughtful and caring person. You feel his care. You get his expertise. You get his dedication. He is a true gentleman, which is becoming a rare breed nowadays. I look forward to working with him again. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone else looking to buy or sell their home.
